W. THOMAS LANGHORNE, JR.

Thomas Langhorne, Jr. (Adjunct Assistant Professor; Ph.D. Michigan State University 1988) is a historical archaeologist whose interests lie in the archaeology of frontiers and colonization and the impact these processes have on both the indigenous and intrusive populations. A particular emphasis is placed on the spatial organization of these processes and how this changes through time. His past fieldwork and research have been conducted in Virginia, New York, South Carolina, Illinois, and Michigan. He has held an administrative position (Pre-Health Advisor) at Binghamton University for a number of years and teaches two courses in rotation. The courses are ANTH 345-Historic American Material Culture (spring semester of odd numbered years) and ANTH 376- The Archaeology of Frontiers (spring semester of even numbered years).
